Last Year's YMLC Plenary Messages - listen to 'em!

Hey everybody, it's less than 2 weeks before the conference! Thought some of you might like to refresh your memory and listen again to last year's YMLC plenary messages by our President Rev Wee Boon Hup; for those who missed the conference last year, these messages will be a great lead up towards this year's conference. YMLC 2007 Songs

Yo everyone, praise the Lord for the 9 songs submitted to the YMLC Committee to be considered for this year's conference theme song! When we started this theme song thing two years ago, there were 4 songs submitted. Last year, there were 5. So as you can see, we're progressing well :) The top 3 songs were selected, not without difficulty though, because of the relatively high standards. To show our appreciation to all the songwriters, we actually have a gift and a certificate of participation for every song submitted! They will receive these at the Opening Service of the YMLC on Fri 7 Sep, 11am.

I'm very pleased to share with you, for now, the top 3 songs (click on song titles below to download files and the lyrics/chords are also available below). These 3 songs will be featured at the conference. Third place goes to Jonas Chow of Faith MC for his song, Unlimited Power (We Abide In You). Yes, this year's theme is Unlimited Power. The second best entry is the song, In You, by Bobby Lam of Wesley MC. And the best entry, which is this year's YMLC theme song, is Unlimited Power written by the only female contributor, Elizabeth Chia of Paya Lebar MC! Here are the songs for your listening pleasure and it is our prayer that the Lord will use each of these songs to inspire and bless you. With the permission of the other songwriters, I will be uploading the other 6 songs at a later date. Please do give your comments and encouragement to the songwriters here in this blog or when you see them :)

Welcome to the YMLC 2007 Blog!

Yo everybody, welcome to the YMLC 2007 Blog! Isn't it exciting that the conference is just around the corner, it's 3 weeks from this weekend!!

The purpose of this blog is to provide an online platform for us to share with you any update about the conference. This blog is also intended for you, the participants and friends of participants, to encourage one another.

For a start, we would like you to come to the conference prayerfully with the following biblical passage in mind:

"My message and my preaching were not with wise and
persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s
power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on
God’s power." (1Cor.2:4,5)

This conference is all about God's unlimited power at work in and through us! Thus, the organizing committee's desire is to see a demonstration of the Spirit's power at our conference to REVEAL His truth to every heart, REFRESH every tired pilgrim, RENEW every friendship (and CREATE new ones of course), REVIVE every dream, passion and purpose that may be dead and RE-COMMISSION every person for a new season of abundant life and ministry. This is our prayer, may it be yours too :) See you at YMLC 2007!!!
